A love of South East Asia saw Asha leave her homeland of Australia for the hot nights and cool breezes of tropical Asia. She has been based in Cambodia for the past 4 years and travelled extensively around the world, eating, drinking and walking until it's time to eat again.
Since it’s a relatively small guest house, there are only about 10 rooms which add to the relaxed vibe of the guest house. Guests can choose between standard, deluxe garden and deluxe pool rooms. There is also a penthouse suite for those who wish to splurge. Much like the lobby, the rooms are modern and fresh. The floors and bathroom facilities are all polished concrete while the furnishings and linens are traditional silk and Khmer cotton. All rooms include breakfast and the restaurant is operational throughout the day to whip up delicious snacks and meals. The menu has a range of western and Asian delicacies and daily specials.
The Rambutan also has a sister concern in Siem Reap which is just as great. Small, quiet and calm, it’s the perfect place to stay if you’re also visiting the temples in Siem Reap. The Phnom Penh guesthouse will assist you in booking your stay in Siem Reap (and may also give a discount if you ask nicely!).
