Solid beats in kitsch Asian-style surroundings

Word to the wise: Dress to impress - there's always a queue to enter Geisha's hallowed halls and it's no fun being turned away after lining up for half an hour.

Any place that doesn't open until 11pm (and doesn't really kick off until 1am) is strictly for those up for a huge night out. Situated in the nightlife hub of Northbridge, Geisha describes itself as 'Japanese kitsch' and is kitted out with neon-lit Oriental pop-art and plush sofas and ottomans alongside two bars, lots of intimate alcoves and, of course, a decent dance floor.

The club hosts both local and international DJs and, for those who need a little Dutch courage to dance, the bartenders mix some exquisite but strong cocktails.
