Chic boutiques and stylish restaurants in Oslo's most exclusive district
Noteworthy for: Frogner Park contains the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park, an open-air display of over 200 sculptures by Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland.
The best way to experience Frogner is to stroll along Bygdøy Allé exploring its designer boutiques, art galleries and antique shops, then stop for a coffee to admire the early 20th century architecture and the immaculately dressed locals. The beautiful Frogner Park is perfect for a picnic, but be warned - it gets crowded with tourists in the spring and summer.
Frogner is home to some of Oslo's best restaurants - including Feinschmecker, Alex Sushi and Bagatelle – but you'll also find a range of charming cafés offering simpler food. There are plenty of bars too: Champagnerian is a chic spot for evening drinks or try the more relaxed Americana-themed "rhythm and booze" nights at the Palace Bar.
