Klub Lazareti boasts of an immensely intriguing venue. Lazareti, a series of interconnected buildings overlooking blue Croatian waters, was a medieval quarantine. People and goods that arrived into Dubrovnik were screened for infectious diseases at Lazareti before being given permission to enter the city of Dubrovnik. Today, the area is home to a number of cultural centres, exhibition spaces, restaurants and Klub Lazareti. Klub Lazareti is a sprawling venue spread over three storeys. It is famous for playing electronic, dance, and house music and hosting famous international DJs. The atmosphere at Klub Lazareti is electric thanks to state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. However, that’s not all. Klub Lazareti is also home to an exhibition space, one that curates art and cinema produced by contemporary independent artists.
