A Sam Smith's pub (with very good value, but limited beer selection), the Cittie of Yorke dates back to 1430, although the present building was built in the Twenties. And what a building it is. There are three different bars, and the one at the back is perhaps the most striking, a grand hall with a long bar, towering ceilings, and vats stashed to one side. It is Grade-II listed, and a CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Heritage pub.
