The Teatro la Fenice was renovated in the style of 1800s and is a truly marvelous piece of Venetian architecture, from both the outside and inside. The theatre stages opera, ballet and concert performances and the building itself is an architectural masterpiece that you can admire, either during a show or a guided tour.
Teatro la Fenice boasts excellent acoustics and, luckily for tourists, if you are unfamiliar with Italian, English subtitles above the stage will mean you are able to understand the show. However, tall people should be aware that, as this is a historic theatre, the seating has limited leg room, so tall people (over 1.85 m) may find it a bit of an uncomfortable experience and might be better off opting for a guided tour instead of a live performance.
