Known for its natural beauty and old world charm, Guwahati is still not a full – fledged after dark city. Thanks to its geographical location in the north eastern part of the country, the city sees an early sunrise and sunset. So by 11 pm, shutters are down and roads are empty, devoid of traffic and human commotion. This however has seen a subtle change since the mid 2000s with the middle–class accumulating more disposable income. Though, nightlife in Guwahati is still in its early days, but the signs are promising and only good things will follow!
