The Golden Gate Tap Room describes itself as San Francisco's adult playground. Think of shuffleboard, pool tables, vintage arcade games, foosball, and more than 100 beers on tap. It’s a three floor, 8,000 sq ft bar fitted out with leather seats and comfortable booths, and plenty of bar seating. There are more than 20 big screens showing all manner of sports.
America’s craft beer scene has exploded over the last decade, and the beer list has plenty of microbreweries from California and the Pacific Northwest. Most of the 100+ beers fall in the $5 to $7 range.

But that doesn’t mean it’s all raucous, you can easily find a quiet corner if you’d like a bit of privacy. Food is available, mostly simple, cheap, and tasty pub fare.
Drink to try: Try a draught IPA from any of the California microbrews on tap, such as the Racer 5 from Bear Republic in (Healdsburg CA).
