Club 39

Club 39 is a great place to begin your evening before you move on to the more groovy pubs. Ideal for large groups, the restaurant has a lively vibe and the cuisine is refined and Italian only, although vegetarian options are limited. It is located at Duxton Hill in the Tanjong Pagar area. Only the ground floor with the extensive cocktail bar and kitchen are open to everyone; the second, third and fourth floors are restricted to members. The pizza at Tapas 39 is straight from the streets of small town Italy, with a fragrant base and minimalistic topping of mozzarella cheese, tomato and meat, garnished with an herb. At Club 39, be prepared for creatively tweaked versions of your favourite cocktails. The Negroni Chiaro, Inomini Patri and daiquiri come highly recommended. But if you aren’t sure about your poison, the bartenders are very knowledgeable about various varieties, and are more than capable of whipping up modified versions to suit your preferences.
