More beer than you can shake a stick at

Word to the wise: There's a kitchen in Cooter Brown's that turns out fine burgers, po' boys, and oysters any way you like them until late.

The name might not sound very appealing, and the interior is purely functional. But if beer, or sport, or beer and sport is what does it for you, there are few better places than Cooter's.

Just at the Riverbend where the St. Charles streetcar drops you, Cooter's stocks 400 different beers, with 40 on draft and wall upon wall of chiller cabinets holding bottles from Louisiana and the US, Britain, Belgium, and right across the world.

What space is not taken up with beer cabinets is filled with epically large televisions broadcasting several different sporting events - this is a pretty crazy place to watch the Saints.
