An always-changing and modern collection of art

The arts district in the CBD was kickstarted by the building of the CAC more than 20 years ago, and it continues to provide a space for multidisciplinary visual and performing arts.

There is no permanent collection, so the galleries over two floors rotate exhibits of visual art drawn from smaller, local galleries and curated from national and international artists' work. Performance art and installations are also held here, and artists in residence are the New Orleans Ballet Theatre. Check the website for up-to-date listings.
