Vegetarian Gujurati street food at its best
Word to the wise: This busy eatery doesn't need to tout for business, so you may have to work a little harder to get the attention of staff.
Consistently flanked by budget travellers, workmen and Mumbai families, Swati Snacks is as classic as they come. The no-frills Gujurati restaurant is chock-a-block with delicious, waistline-increasing treats like dal dhokli (Gujurati version of pasta), pani puri (fried puffed bread filled with spicy water and beans) and their famous panki chatni, thin rice pancakes steamed in a banana leaf.
Thirsty? Try the sugar cane juice. Top off your meal with homemade mango ice cream.
