Former wine factory converted into an art centre

Word to the wise: On your way out follow the signs for “ArtPlay”, to find another nearby former factory which is also now in the process of being transformed into an art centre.

This little enclave of concave ceilinged, former wine cellars, has become in recent years one of the city’s leading contemporary gallery spaces – offering unknown local artists and young curators extensive exhibition space.

In addition to numerous private galleries and impromptu exhibition spaces there's also a good café/restaurant that regularly hosts concerts and has a lovely courtyard terrace.

There are also numerous small boutiques selling unique jewelry and clothing, art book stores, artists supplies stores and in the summer an open-air cinema.
