Large club with nightly music themes
A cavernous venue in a converted bus station, Alcatraz has a mixed nightly line up of live music and DJs plus big-name concerts on its three massive stages. Despite its mammoth size, the venue gets quickly over-crowded and on occasion people wait for an hour to be served at the bar.
There’s an eclectic choice of music on offer, from hip hop to dance as well as the usual bland Italian pop. Fridays are retro nights, with music from the 1960s to the 80s; Saturday is rock night; expect lots of leather and girls dancing on stage in floodlit cages.
