Situated along the natural bay of Port Phillip, the Victorian city of Melbourne is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. With the city centre positioned at the northernmost tip of the bay, these beaches are a perfect escape from city’s din. Popular among tourists and residents alike, St Kilda Beach is one of the most famous beaches on Port Phillip Bay. Along with a wide range of water sports, visitors can also take in the stunning city skyline and sunsets views. Known for its many colourful bathing boxes set along the foreshore, the Brighton Beach is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Bonbeach, Kerford Road Beach, South Melbourne Beach and Elwood Beach are also great crowd-pullers.
