King George Point is almost 2.7 km (a 40-minute walk) from the marketplace. It takes around 10 minutes to walk here from Charlotte Lake. Many people say that it's a sin to go to Matheran and come back without visiting this vantage point. The sight from this peak is really majestic as it offers a picturesque view of the lake and waterfalls, and a large valley surrounded by three hills. The view is mesmerising and nature lovers can definitely sit here for hours. People prefer to come here in groups in the evening, take a walk, watch the sunset and enjoy baked corn with a cup of ginger tea. Sounds amazing, isn’t it!
