Plans afoot to develop Mandi into an eco-tourism zone

The Himachal Pradesh government is planning to develop Mandi as an eco-tourism zone. Referring to this development, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the government is already working to develop new spots in the region, and that he will also make all the efforts to procure funds from the centre for the said purpose.

As per the latest news reports, this region has vast potential for both religious and eco tourism, which comprises six districts, such as Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti, and Chamba; and all those projects will be opened that never culminated during the previous regimes.

With more than 81 temples in the town, Mandi is one of the most popular spots in Himachal Pradesh. Situated along the Beas River, Mandi also boasts of being the second most populous city in Himachal. This spot is in fact a favourite stopover destination for visitors who are interested in trekking.
Also, boasting scenic views of majestic mountains, Mandi is the perfect place where you plan a quiet and rejuvenating holiday. It is not difficult to reach this place; take a bus from Manali or further, and there you reach comfortable to your holiday spot.
