A magic carpet takes me across the oceans as I fly from Mumbai to Mahe . Flying low across the pristine white sands, we land in an unassuming airport in the largest island of Seychelles, an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. I spend a couple of days in Mahe and it is not just the beach that takes my breath away. Listening to tales of pirates and treasures, watching sunrises and sunsets, searching for endemic birds and animals, sauntering around the capital city, Victoria, shopping for corals to tasting rum – Mahe offers a wide range of experiences. Here is a guide of what you can do in 48 hours in the island.
