Experience luxury and lifestyle – Gran Via is the main tourist street in Madrid, best known as the Spanish Broadway. Created in early 20th century, this upscale shopping street is lined with cinemas, theatres, hotels, shopping centres and nightclubs. The Gran Via connects the Calle de Alcalá with the Plaza de España. The great street is lined with ornate buildings decorated with quirky Art Nouveau, and Art Deco facades. Some of the monumental architectural sites include the Edificio Metropolis, the Telefónica Building, and Edificio Grassy. The Grand Vía crosses the Plaza del Callao in its course which is lined with cinema halls and shopping centres, including the Art Deco building of The Capitol. The street culminates into a grand Plaza de España which is dominated by two skyscrapers of Edificio España, and the Torre de Madrid built in 1950s. The street has been featured in many of Spanish movies. Take an evening walk on Gran Via and feel the buzz of locals and tourists.
