A centre square with myriad experiences on the offer – perhaps one of the busiest parts in the capital, Puerta de Sol is the main square. Translating to Gate of the Sun, historically it has been the eastern gate to the city. A short walk away from Plaza Mayor, the square is surprisingly semi-circular in shape.
