This unique store in Castello sells clothes and handbags made by the female prisoners of the penitentiary on Giudecca Island. The garments and accessories are made with the finest silk, threads and brocades and, with a high-end label stitched into the back, could easily sell with a zero added to the price tag.
You can often get a discount for cash, so if you see something you like, don't be afraid to haggle, within reason. All proceeds go back to the prison, to fund education and work experience for the inmates.
