The biggest attraction of Langkawi is the cable car ride and the uniquely constructed Sky Bridge. Located in Oriental village, which has numerous shops and eateries, this ride is considered to be one of the steepest cable car rides in the world. Going up the Machinchang Mountain to the top station is an absolute adrenaline rush. Vistas open up everywhere as the distant islets, turquoise waters, expansive bays and lush green mountains spread out. One can spot the popular seven wells waterfall en- route the top station. There is a pit stop station on the way up which offers a panoramic view of the Oriental village, islands and the sea. One can take a break here and take the next cable car to the top station which at 700 m offers more breathtaking vistas. The Sky Bridge, located at the top station is an architectural marvel. This is a hanging bridge, which connects two mountains and is definitely an adventurous experience to walk on it. The bridge also offers unending vistas of the blue horizon, deep gorges and thick canopy. The return ride on the cable car might not be as enjoyable for the weak hearted, as the car goes down at quite a faster pace. Fun, nonetheless.
