The trouble with dining in Vieux Nice is that more often than not, places serving consistently good food at fairly reasonable prices become popular with tourists. La Tapenade is no exception.
This enviable corner spot near the cathedral is chock-full every lunchtime and packed to the rafters of an evening as faithful locals jostle for position beside eager visitors keen to tuck in to generous portions of ratatouille, grilled rabbit and Niçoise salad prepared to perfection. Since the locals don't mind sharing, why should you?
