Indeed, the restaurant was a former house of pain; the new owners having decided to keep the charming exterior intact and tastefully renovate the interior. The intimate and cosy decor is enriched by equally homely food and there's a heavy presence of roast meat on the pleasantly-limited menu.
Opt for a slab of chicken, beef, veal, pork or lamb with a side of creamy mash or tangy ratatouille; washing it down with a reasonably-priced bottle of corbières.
