Silk goods, umbrellas, cosmetics, keychains, incense sticks, swords, and matcha tea are also available for decent prices. Interestingly, this emporium accepts a number of currencies along with credit cards unlike other souvenir shops. Yet another plus is the fact that the staff here can speak English. For a more immersive experience, you can feast your eyes on live demonstrations and workshops by local artisans, if you have a reservation for the same.If you intend to savour and carry a slice of the rich culture of Japan, the Kyoto Handicraft Centre is exactly where you should be. With seven elaborate floors, this giant is open from 10 am to 6 pm, and is a few minutes away from the Jingu Marutamachi Station along the Keihan line.
