If there is heaven in Kota, it is at the site of Garadia Mahadev Temple located by the banks of Chambal River. Located on Dabi Road (NH 76), about 30 plus kilometres from the main city of Kota, this beauty enveloping this temple renders the beholder speechless. The magical charm of this site gets enhanced by a few notches when dark clouds fill up the firmament and pour their cooling waters. There are peacocks, monkeys and other avian friends residing in this region. The Shiva temple rests a few steps from the main viewpoint. An important point to be noted is that this place is deprived of eateries, tea stalls and toilets. So, go there with enough food and water and leave before it gets too dark because the site is 1.5 kilometres off the highway. Tourists visiting the place for the first time are advised to hire a cab (Ola) or taxi due to the dearth of public transport connecting Kota to Garadia Mahadev Temple.
