Warship Museum, situated near Tagore Beach, is popular among visitors primarily for INS Chapel that was used for naval warfare in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The old warship has now been converted to a small museum and can be seen on the shores of Tagore Beach. It is one of the three ship museums in India. The mannequins and other statues provide a brief on warfare and the roles played in a warship. There is a nominal entrance fee and the museum is open from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4:30 pm to 6 pm (though this may change as per the discretion of the museum authorities). The audio-visual video highlighting the importance of the Indian Navy is worth watching at the end of the visit.
