There are a lot of places to visit in Hampi—groups of ancient temples, ruins of Vijayanagara, a ghost city, Hemakuta Hills, Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary, Anegundi—Hampi’s hippie side, Badami Caves, the centuries old sites of Aihole and Pattadakal and, of course, the gorgeous riverside of Tungabhadra. You can spend days strolling in the temple ruins here, most of these being a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a runaway hit with photographers. Other than these, the rock climbing spots at Hampi are perfect vantage points to watch a sunrise or a sunset.
