Precious Rongmei likes to tell people that she loves travelling – a lot. If only it's done solo, don't have to pack more than two pairs of clothes, won’t keep her away from her cat for too long, and come with loads of birding and butterfly watching opportunities. She's awkwardly passionate about true crime documentaries, gardening, carpentry and souvenirs. In that order.

Bhedaghat is famous for the mighty Dhuandhar Falls and a beautiful marble gorge popularly known as Marble Rocks.
The gorge is also known as Bandar Kudni (place where monkeys jump) and there’s a reason for it. The gorge that we see today was not this massive years ago. Earlier the gorge was narrow enough for the resident monkeys to jump and cross over, thus giving it the name Bandar Kudni. With time, erosion by natural elements and human intervention, the gorge eventually widened.
Dhuandhar Falls is a must-see when you are visiting the site. You can’t actually avoid it. The Narmada River, after making its way through the Marble Rocks, eventually narrows down and plunges 30 metres down. That’s the Dhuandhar Falls. This plunge creates heavy mist, almost making it look like smoke. Hence the name Dhuandhar (Dhua meaning smoke; dhar meaning flow).
