Istanbul's longstanding late-night rock venue

Word to the wise: There's no outside space so Roxy closes between May and September when it just gets too hot to party indoors.

Roxy is a popular venue for live rock, pop and jazz bands and many famous names have graced its stage over the years. DJs take over at weekends and they also have regular themed nights and the occasional outlandish theatrical performance.

The crowd is laid-back and fun-loving, but even with the 3.5 metre-high ceilings and cavernous space, it can get overcrowded, especially on ever popular live music nights. Yan Gastrobar next door belongs to the same owner and if you eat there you can dodge Roxy’s long lines by getting in through a side door.
