A shining star of the Hotel Royal St. Georges in Interlaken, stepping into The Verandah is not very different from visiting a celebrated art gallery. The purple, taupe and sea-green interiors of this airy restaurant exude all the elegance in the world. A perfect place for a romantic afternoon, The Verandah’s selection of food ranges from Swiss and French staples to Central European delicacies. The salads served here are refreshing, their Chinoise and Meat fondues are quite otherworldly and the desserts are downrightly sinful. The selection of wines at this classy address is impressive and the servers always have the perfect bottle for you to pair with your meal. Additionally, the bartenders are always whipping up excellent cocktails for the guests to devour.
Despite the luxuriousness associated with The Verandah, the menu is quite reasonably priced when compared to its counterparts in Interlaken. The portions are huge; so much so that a meal for two can easily feed four people and there is no dearth of vegetarian and gluten-free options for visitors with specific dietary needs. Book a table at this establishment for a memorable love affair with European cuisine. You will certainly wonder why they don’t have a Michelin star rating yet.
