Kings Lodge

Kings Lodge is one of the oldest and best known resorts in the area. Located quite close to Bandhavgarh National Park, this lodge is famous for its tigers and sloth bears. Staying in a stilt cottage is an experience though they have regular cottages as well. As you climb up the wooden staircase and enter your room, you would be greeted by quaint relics and paintings. The statuettes and straw hats on the walls make it look like a quintessential wildlife lodge.
The thing that would attract you the most is the large bath tub. It would please you with many luxurious soaks after back-breaking early morning safaris. Though safaris are adventurous and fulfilling, they require a lot of being thrown in the air while the jeep navigates bumps and dirt roads. A visit to the in-house spa at Kings Lodge would be ideal after a long tiring day. After a nice massage and shower, you can relax by the poolside with a beer and relive the wildlife sightings of the day. Some naturalists in the resort doubled as drivers too. The food here is excellent; the chefs will prepare whatever you like. The meals are generally tasty and light on the stomach. If you get a chance, don’t miss the thousand year old supine statue of Shesh-Saiya inside the Tala gate entrance.
