According to one trip operator, “The architecture is influenced by the timber floating era. For a long time, Lule River and its tributaries served as transportation routes for timber, an old tradition in the north.”
Let’s have a look at some interesting features of the property.
Prime features of the fascinating floating hotel
One of the most eye-catching features of the property is its bird’s nest that houses a spa with an outdoor cold bath. The temperature here is set at a cool 39 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. But those, who want can also enjoy hot baths and saunas too. There are treatment rooms as well.
The property houses 12 standalone cabins, among which six are built on the water and the other six on land. But the best part about these is that all of these cabins are made using local materials designed to minimise its impact on the environment.
These cabins have just 258 sq ft of indoor space and are well-equipped with a double bed, a stove for heat, and a full bath. But the interesting part of these cabins are the 619 sq ft decks, which will allow guests to sunbathe during summers and enjoy stargazing or catch the northern lights) during winters.
All the cabins have Scandinavian minimalism and have soft pastel shades. The decor mainly focuses on using natural materials such as light woods and stones.
