Vancouver's most mod-chic boutique sleepNoteworthy for: All rooms are equipped with an iPad2, preloaded with a selection of playlists, books and concierge recommendations.
Large enough to feel private but with the warm, unpretentious service standards of a smaller boutique establishment, Opus Hotel hovers pretty high on the list of Vancouver's best sleeps. Suiting its yuppie-chic Yaletown locale to a tee, this bright, ultra-modern boutique hotel is certainly not for wallflowers.
Large rooms splashed in vivid colours are equipped with all the mod cons - it's worth opting for at least a superior room to enjoy the spa-sized bathroom. Annoyingly, WiFi is only complimentary if you book directly through the hotel, but they throw in a welcome drink upon arrival and a Downtown chauffeur service to sweeten the (non-discounted) deal. Lack of an in-house spa is compensated with a 24hr gym and free mountain bike rental. Opus Hotel is pet-friendly, too.
Make sure to stop by in-house bar, The Opus - fresh from a re-furb, it's the hottest place in town to sip an organic essential oil-infused cocktail.
