The world of hospitality has been once more graced with the touch of cold, as Sweden’s iconic Icehotel opens its doors for visitors. The hotel is known to regenerate every year during the winter months, and then melts away during spring; only to be back in the following winter. Its origin is basically the Torne River. That definitely sounds incredible!
The short lifespan of the Icehotel in Sweden has made it an incredibly interesting destination for travellers across the world. It was first opened in 1992, and today it has a proper complex of snow and ice, completed by a restaurant, ceremony hall, and more.
Nature has played a role in the inspiration for this year’s Icehotel suites design. Hence, you have The Living Ocean Suite created by England designer Jonathan Green, and his daughter Marnie. This beautiful icy suite is complete with coral and fish, and is definitely one of the highlights for this year.
The hotel attracts a large number of guests each year, roughly 70,000, and this year too it is not going to be any different. This is the hotel’s 29th edition, and will close on April 13, 2019. You can pick from a warm room, and a cold room for your stay.
