Heevan Retreat

If warm hospitality and a mid-range resort is what you want, look no further. The staff and service at Heevan Retreat are delightful. After a long hard day of skiing action, I came back to the hotel and was greeted by warm friendly faces who served delicious Kashmiri Kahwa and cookies to go with it. Evenings around the lounge fireplace at Heevan Retreat are lively and buzzing with chatter. It is here that skiers from around the world congregate and discuss their ski experiences. The lounge also has a pool table, if you still have energy left after a day of sightseeing in Gulmarg. The rooms with wood flooring are well appointed and are centrally heated and provide 24-hours running hot water. Additionally, rooms have amenities like TV and DTH for people who need to keep up with the outside world.
The restaurant at Heevan Retreat, Dilkhusa, serves a mix of Indian, Kashmiri Wazwan, Gujarati, Chinese and Continental dishes. From the restaurant, you get a view of the lush meadows of the Gulmarg and the valley covered with tall trees. The hotel is at a walking distance from the Gondola base station and during the ski season, intermediate to advance level skiers can ski in and ski out to and from the hotel.
