This brand new luxury property is fashioned on European Alpine ski resorts, with the wooden two-storey units cascading down a terraced slope a short walk from the Gondola Station. The rooms are decadently furnished Kashmiri-style with unfettered views of Mt. Affarwat or the valley. You could call it an alpine lodge but that would be stretching the definition: there’s nothing rudimentary about rooms upholstered in Kashmiri woven carpets with antique mats inserted in ceiling glass frames, and a surfeit of crewel embroidery, carved walnut panelling, teakwood floors et al. The 80-room resort has all the accoutrements you’d expect from a world-class luxury resort—a range of rooms, top-notch service, multiple cuisine and dining options. The sprawling resort includes the beautifully landscaped Paradeez Gardens, an amphitheatre, retail outlets and a ski shop in case you’re not carrying your own gear for skiing or snowboarding.
