The most fun way to get around the Old Town

Noteworthy for: Look out for the pimped Bici taxis with subwoofer sound systems and decked-out in bling.

Hurtling along the cobbled streets of Havana Vieja, crashing over bumps whilst feeling a little like royalty in your own personal carriage-for-two, bike taxis are always a pleasure.

There is a glut of them in the Old Town, and while it can be a pain to be asked every few steps if you want a ride, when you need them they’re brilliant for short journeys. The drivers are a font of local knowledge, many with very impressive calves.

A short ride should cost around CUC 1, and up to CUC 3 for a longer journey, but they will try to charge more. As always, locals pay a lot less. Drivers will also happily give you a tour of the area, but make sure to agree a price beforehand.
