Located in the center of the bustling Hoan Kiem District, the Dong Xuan Market is Hanoi’s largest indoor market. The market is located throughout four floors of a Soviet Style building and was established in 1889.

On the first floor, you’ll find fresh vegetables, meat and seafood. On the second, third and fourth floors, you’ll find fabrics, luggage stalls, t shirts and various other items and souvenirs. This is where you’ll find the traditional Vietnamese conical hat, which you may get to enjoy over a steaming bowl of cheap, tasty Vietnamese noodles.

For a traditional, local shopping experience, definitely take a visit to the Dong Xuan Market.
