This lovely garden was conceived in 1985 to bring together the city's large Chinese community with native Vancouverites by providing a communal area that celebrated East and West. The garden is built upon the principles of Feng Shui and Taoism, in the belief that nature directly influences human wellbeing. Aside from the amazing plants, flowers, ponds and beautiful bridges, the garden also hosts 'Enchanted Evenings' events, with classical music concerts, recitals and choirs. The admission fee includes an optional guided tour, which is incredibly insightful, but even if you choose to go it on your own, just spending a couple of hours here will relax and prepare you for re-entry to the big city.
