Located in the West End of Glasgow, the botanic gardens are worth visiting if you have a free day in the city. The most impressive of these greenhouses is Kibble Palace, originally deigned by John Kibble to be enjoyed at his house. Now, it sits with others in the Botanic Gardens and offers visitors the chance to enjoy many tropical plants and flowers. Fun fact, it is actually one of the largest glass houses in Britain and features a handful of rare orchids. Taking afternoon tea in the gardens is a tradition visitors should definitely enjoy, either inside or outside during the spring and summer months. Either tour these gardens on your own or join one of the popular guided tours with a knowledgeable guide.
