DHR is already operating some interesting toy-train rides here including Joyrides, Jungle-Tea Safari and New Jalpaiguri – Darjeeling passenger train, among others. The fest will offer a big platform for local artists, performers and craftsmen.
There will be three verticals to the fest: culture, adventure and tourism.
The cultural aspect will see events being organised in the stations and the famous Chowrasta in Darjeeling. The event includes folk dances, music performances, stand-up comedy, plays and talent shows.
The adventurous aspect will have heritage walks in the morning every day, mountain biking and trackathon. A number of organisations have partnered with DHR to host these interesting events. Local vendors/sellers will get a chance to showcase their talent, handicrafts and other art works.
