Popular plate: From September to March, fondue is served every evening, 6pm to 9pm.
Word to the wise: Buvettes is also worth a visit in winter, when a cabin with a wood fire is set up for diners.
Poking out into Lake Geneva on a pier, the beachy restaurant is as popular for its very mixed, sometimes hip crowd as it is for its food. Housed alongside a spot for summer bathing in the lake - you'll notice the diving boards - you'll have to pay CHF 2 to enter Buvettes des Bains in summer, though once you're in, the food is affordable.
The menu itself is simple but healthy, offering a single dish of the day, plus salads, muesli, cold meats and, in the evening, grilled fish and fondue.
