If you want to leave Canada all together and head into the United States of America for a weekend getaway, consider Fargo in North Dakota. Most people have heard the name Fargo because of the movie or TV show, but there is more to this town than its popular name. There is no shortage of things to do in this town, starting off with the Fargo-Moosehead Visitors Center, where the staff are friendly and will set you up with lots of maps and information about the town. Make sure to get your picture taken with the famous wood chipper from the 1996 film. The staff here is also great at recommending places to eat, and not to miss attractions. Kids and families will love heading to the Red River Zoo where red pandas, gray wolves and other interesting species live. There are plenty of places to stay, eat and play in this town, and two days is not often enough to explore the wonderful town of Fargo.
