London is the capital of the British Isles, and is steeped in history and awash with world-class attractions. The London Eye, an impressive wheel built on the banks of the River Thames in the heart of London, affords magnificent panoramas of the Thames and the rest of London. Buckingham Palace is the residence of Queen Elizabeth and the best way to take it in is to witness the pomp and show displayed during the Changing of the Guard. The Tower of London was the site for the execution of three English Queens—it has served as a royal residence and a prison in the past, and is now home to the Crown Jewels. Of course, don’t miss out on all the other must-see attractions like Madam Tussaud’s, Trafalgar Square, Harrod’s, Hyde Park and more.

The French capital, Paris has a magnificent skyline dominated by the Eiffel Tower (this of course, should definitely be at the top of your list for sightseeing). The Champs-Elysées is probably the most famous street in the world—it stretches from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe—and the Moulin Rouge has set the standard for cabaret throughout the world. The romantic setting of the Seine River as it cuts through the city, Notre Dame, the Louvre and Euro Disney all beckon to tourists and are definitely worth every bit the hype surrounding them.
