There is a new way to experience the River Valley in Edmonton and it involves a whole lot of fun. Instead of taking a walk or cycle along the gorgeous pathways, why not try your hand at a guided Segway ride. River Valley Adventure Company is the brains behind this idea and it operates guided Segway tours seven days a week. Choice is yours, you can opt for either a 30-, 60- or 90-min tour that starts off with a safety demonstration and strict instructions on how to operate one of these machines. The inclusive one-hour trip is the most popular, and after you have watched a safety demonstration and learned the tricks and tools of the Segway, you are off to enjoy the pathways. This activity can be enjoyed in any season, from warm summers that offer fantastic greenery through the park to the winter where falling snow makes it much more romantic. The tours at night start at 6 pm or 7:30 pm and riders must be at least 14 years of age and weigh between 60–250 pounds. Ride the pathways, learn a new trade and enjoy with new friends.
