While most Italian restaurants popping up these days tend to take the rustic approach to their interiors, La Tagliatella stands out like the unabashed flashy cousin for its baroque and almost decadent interiors, and applies the same generosity to its food. The service is faultless (the wait staff is well versed with the menu, and can manoeuvre you through the Italian dishes if you so require), the portions are enormous and the flavours are big. All their ingredients—from the flour to the meats, vegetables and herbs—are painstakingly sourced from around Europe, and anything that’s less than perfect isn’t put on the plate. The restaurant encourages sharing, and you’d be well advised to take their suggestion—there’s no way you’ll be able to eat through a three-course meal all by yourself. From the multitude of eateries lining the street on 100 Foot Road, La Tagliatella is easily a cut above its contemporaries.
