Typically, curry makes poor date night fodder, yet there’s something about the setting at Ushna that promotes passion. The warm colour scheme, minimalist furnishings and a straight-on view of the glistening waterfront up the romance quotient considerably.
Like the decor, the curries are created with care. Food here is surprisingly light and delicate with spices complimenting rather than overpowering the flavours.
While couples take the tables, singles hit the bar, which serves up innovative cocktails mixed with a splash of the subcontinent. Who knew that bell pepper and basil in a martini glass could taste so good?
