Comparatively new, Sasuji is another popular food joint for Gujarati food in Ahmedabad. Open for lunch and dinner, Sasuji is best visited for its traditional platters that include the most authentic flavours of Kutch land. Lavish thalis are the USP of the place, with a typical one comprising of a variety of desserts and farsan, freshly-prepared shaak (vegetables), lal aane chutney, khichdi or rice, bhakhri, bajri rotis and dal with a dash of sugar. The basundi (a famous Gujarati dessert) at Sasuji is a must try. Daily changes are made in the menu; you can also get set tiffins packed from here.
