Located in the evergreen Defence Colony market, Shack continues to thrive while the neighbouring eateries assume a new identity every few months. Cosy and extremely inviting, this is one of those places where you can drop in for a quick bite or stay and lounge for hours. The woody interiors are contemporary, with generous doses of warmth in the form of animal-hide rugs, big comfortable cushions and sofas of the sinkable variety—that encourage sloth. Although the menu is extremely eclectic, the seafood section scores big in terms of freshness, flavour and quantity. Try the prawn starters, and in the mains, opt for either the fish or the lobster. We suggest going in a large group, and lingering till they roll the shutters down.
